Acceptable Use Policy
PixPal content standards for AI-generated images and videos: prohibited categories, moderation, reporting, and enforcement.
Last updated: 2026-10-18
PixPal ("Platform," "we," "us," or "our") provides AI image and video generation and editing tools. This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") applies to all prompts, uploads, generated outputs, and other content created, stored, or distributed through the Platform. Every user must comply with this Policy together with our Terms of Service.
1. Scope
This Policy covers:
- Images — AI-generated or edited still images and illustrations.
- Audio / Video — AI-generated or edited video and any accompanying audio.
- User inputs — text prompts, reference images, reference videos, and other uploads.
- Distribution — publishing, downloading, sharing, or otherwise circulating content produced with the Platform.
2. Content Standards & Prohibited Categories
The Platform prohibits generating or distributing the following six categories of content:
- Pornography / NSFW content
- Violence / gore
- Hate speech and discrimination
- Child-unsafe content (CSAM)
- Deepfakes / impersonation of real people without consent
- Content that infringes copyright or trademarks
2.1 Absolutely Prohibited — Zero Tolerance
The following are never allowed. We may remove content immediately, ban the account, and report to authorities where required by law:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual, exploitative, or pornographic content involving anyone under 18 (or who appears to be a minor).
- Content that promotes or facilitates terrorism, violent extremism, or mass violence.
- Instructions for building weapons of mass destruction or other clearly illegal weapons.
- Content that incites genocide or ethnic cleansing.
- Deepfakes of real individuals — including face swaps, non-consensual intimate imagery, fabricated statements or actions — whether or not the person consented to the likeness being used for that purpose.
2.2 The Six Prohibited Generation Categories
Pornography / NSFW
- Explicit sexual content, pornography, and graphic nudity intended for sexual arousal.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery or “nudification” of real people.
Violence / gore
- Graphic violence, gore, torture, or content that glorifies severe bodily harm.
- Content that instructs or encourages real-world violent crime.
Hate speech and discrimination
- Content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or similar protected characteristics.
- Content that promotes supremacy ideologies or calls for discriminatory violence.
Child-unsafe content (CSAM)
- Any sexual or exploitative depiction of minors, including fictional or AI-generated depictions.
- Grooming, sexualization of minors, or requests that ask the model to produce such material.
Deepfakes / impersonation
- Using someone’s face, voice, or likeness to create deceptive or harmful content without a lawful basis.
- Impersonating real people, public figures, brands, or organizations to deceive others.
- Uploading another person’s photo or voice without their permission (see Section 2.4).
Copyright and trademark infringement
- Generating or distributing content that copies protected works, logos, or trademarks in ways that infringe rights holders’ rights.
- Using copyrighted characters, brands, or media as if they were your own commercial product where you lack a license.
2.3 Other Prohibited Conduct
- Generating or spreading deliberate misinformation intended to cause serious harm.
- Jailbreak prompts designed to bypass Platform safety measures.
- Bulk spam, malware distribution, phishing, or other deceptive commercial abuse.
- Passing off AI-generated content as authentic human-created media in order to defraud others.
2.4 Uploads of Real People
You may only upload photos, videos, or audio of yourself, or of people who have given you clear permission. Uploading another person’s likeness without consent is prohibited. Permission to use a likeness does not authorize generating the deepfake or intimate content banned in Section 2.1.
3. Content Moderation
We use automated screening plus human review of reports.
3.1 Automated Review
Where configured, the Platform applies safety checks such as:
- Prompt screening — moderation of user prompts before generation (including third-party moderation APIs).
- Upload screening — NSFW and safety checks on reference images where available.
- Output screening — safety assessment of generated images where available.
- Provider-side safety filters operated by the underlying AI model providers.
Automated systems can block, flag, or refuse requests that appear to violate this Policy.
3.2 Human Review
- User reports and high-severity automated flags are reviewed by our trust & safety team.
- Reviewers may confirm removals, issue warnings, restrict features, or escalate for account action.
- We aim to handle critical reports involving child safety as the highest priority.
3.3 Severity Levels
| Level | Examples | Typical response | | --- | --- | --- | | L1 — Critical | CSAM, terrorism, severe deepfake abuse | Immediate block / ban; report to authorities when required | | L2 — High | Clear severe policy violations | Remove content; suspend account | | L3 — Medium | Confirmed general violations | Warning and/or content removal | | L4 — Low | Minor or borderline issues | Warning; request correction |
4. Reporting
4.1 When to Report
Please report:
- Generated or uploaded content that violates this Policy.
- Critical child-safety or terrorism-related material.
- Deepfakes, impersonation, or other misuse of your likeness or rights.
- Repeated attempts to bypass safety systems.
4.2 How We Handle Reports
- Reporter identity is kept confidential to the extent permitted by law.
- Reports are reviewed independently and in good faith.
- Malicious or knowingly false reports may themselves lead to enforcement.
5. Reporting Channels
Email hi@pixpal.ai to report violations or request support.
Include the content URL or task ID, a short description of the issue, and (if possible) screenshots. For urgent child-safety reports, put URGENT — child safety in the subject line.
6. Response Timelines
| Violation type | Initial response target | Resolution target | | --- | --- | --- | | L1 — Critical | Within 24 hours | Within 48 hours | | L2 — High | Within 1 business day | Within 3 business days | | L3 — Medium | Within 3 business days | Within 7 business days | | L4 — Low | Within 5 business days | Within 15 business days |
If we need more time, we will note that when we reply. Workflow: receive → triage (L1–L4) → review → decision → enforcement → notify reporter when appropriate.
7. Enforcement Actions
Depending on severity and history, we may take one or more of the following actions:
- Warning — written notice requiring removal or correction.
- Content removal — delete or disable access to violating outputs or uploads.
- Feature restriction — limit generation quota, models, or upload capabilities.
- Credit adjustment — withhold, revoke, or deduct credits tied to prohibited use where applicable.
- Account suspension — temporary freeze pending review.
- Permanent ban — terminate access for severe or repeated violations.
- Legal action — report to law enforcement and cooperate with investigations for criminal-level abuse.
We may take action without prior notice when needed to protect users, minors, or the Platform.
8. Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action was wrong, email hi@pixpal.ai within 14 days of the notice. Include your account email, the action taken, and why you believe it was incorrect. We aim to review appeals within 10 business days by someone other than the original reviewer when practical.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this Policy as laws, model providers, or product features change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
